0What you won’t see in Corsica
The lush island of Corsica is unlike any other Mediterranean island. Not only is it the most lush of the islands and with its conservation areas and nature reserves which have been given national recognition or registered on Unesco’s world heritage list, it is also the only island on which you will not find plastic bags. The French island of Corsica was the first to ban plastic bags in 1999. Paris followed suit and decided to ban non-biodegradable plastic bags in large stores as of 2007. It is time for the return of the ever so functional and popular European string bag. It stretches to hold a little or a lot, is very sturdy and tucks away easily for storage between uses. The Beneterre Clam is a European string bag in its own clam pouch. See the great colors at http://www.beneterre.com/eco-reusable-bags.php/shopping-bags/details/clam/
